Indigenous Pow Wow-style dance competition in the heart of Toronto

A special gathering at Union Station's West Wing to celebrate Indigenous culture and present the highest level of showmanship among Indigenous Women’s Jingle Dress dancers through performance and competition.

Tkaronto Open IV is a celebration of Indigenous culture and beauty, presenting the highest level of showmanship among Indigenous dancers from across Turtle Island. This Pow Wow-style competition will feature Women’s Jingle Dress Showcase: Old Style vs Contemporary. Come dance and celebrate with us in Union Station's West Wing, in the heart of the city. Indigenous music and dance have the power to move you in extraordinary ways. 

The forth edition of Tkaronto Open conceived and co-produced by award winning Indigenous dancer Freddy Gipp (Indigenous Liberation, FFDN 2022), Thunder Jack and Kyana Kingbird.


FOR CONTESTANTS

Registrations for dancers will open on July 7th
Contestant Registration $25 (+ fees). All proceeds will be donated to an indigenous-led cause, to be announced.
