The International Presenters Program (IPP) is an initiative created to unite dancemakers, performing arts programmers, curators, and global cultural leaders from across Canada and worldwide to experience new dance works, discover Canadian artists from across the country, share knowledge and participate in a more inclusive international dance industry. By the end of the program participants will have expanded their knowledge surrounding the current state of Canadian dance milieu including creating new connections to Canadian dance artists and presenters.
Throughout the five-day experience, participants will have the opportunity to engage with public performances and industry only events which will highlight the vibrancy of the Canadian dance scene. Programming will consist, but will not be limited to: fully produced performances, studio showcases led by local and national partners; pitch sessions; industry gatherings and networking opportunities.
The International Presenters Program (IPP) is a collaborative initiative with Fall for Dance North’s programming partners and our Market Development Partner, the Ontario Arts Council and is open to presenters, artists, agents/managers and other dance professionals. The 2024 edition of the IPP enjoys additional project support from the Department of Canadian Heritage, travel support from Canada Council and from the Azrieli Foundation and The TD Ready Commitment.

The registration for the International Presenters Program 2024 is open from July 23 to October 6, 2024.
Canadian and international presenters, programmers and curators are encourage to register for a FULL PRESENTER badge, which provides access to all IPP 2024 events and activities (i.e. tickets for 6 mainstage performances, 1 Night/Shift performance, daytime showcases, select meals and additional hospitality, transportation within Toronto, welcome package and contact list of IPP all 2024 delegates and artists). Travel and accommodations* are the responsibility of the participants.

DAILY PASS BADGES are available for Canadian and international presenters who are unable to attend the entire International Presenters Program. The daily pass badge provides access to all the IPP programming of the selected day, including the evening mainstage performances. Each individual can register for a maximum of three daily passes under their name.

If you arrive by train, you will get off at Union Station, 65 Front Street West, Toronto, ON M5J 1E6.
TRANSPORTATION IN TORONTO
Both hotels, and the majority of IPP venues are centrally located in downtown Toronto and can be easily reached either by foot, or public transport. Local transportation for Canadian and International Presenters who have purchased a full PRESENTER BADGE will be covered. For all other travel in Toronto, you can get around by subway, streetcars and buses - 1 single fare (incl. two-hour transfer): $3.30 CAD.
Note: Presenter Badge holders will receive a Convention Pass to use public transportation for the duration of IPP 2024.
Taxi, Uber, Lyft and other ride-sharing services are available in Toronto.
IMPORTANT TO KEEP IN MIND!
Certain streets in Toronto are divided into two parts: East and West with two equivalent numbers for each side. For example, there is a 100 Dundas East and a 100 Dundas West, and they are in two different locations. As a point of reference, Yonge Street (the longest street in the world!!) divides the city into East and West.
The currency used in Toronto is the Canadian dollar. You can change your money into Canadian dollars at foreign exchange offices and in banks.
Most hotels, restaurants and shops accept Visa and Mastercard, however we still recommend having a bit of cash on hand since some smaller bars and restaurants don't accept credit cards.
In Canada, as in all of North America, the electrical current operates at 110 volts (60 Hz) as opposed to 220 volts (50 Hz) like in Europe and Asia. It might therefore be necessary for you to have an adaptor. You can buy one at the airport or in a hardware store.
In Canada, it is customary to leave 15% to 20% of the total bill as a tip at restaurants, bars, and when you take a taxi.
Your passport must be valid for 6 months after the date of your departure.
IMPORTANT: Since March 15, 2016, visa-exempt foreign nationals who fly to or transit through Canada are expected to have Electronic Travel Authorization (ETA). Exceptions include U.S. citizens and travellers with a valid Canadian visa.

Online application for an ETA is quick and easy. You need a valid passport or other accepted travel document, a credit card, and an e-mail address. Applications are usually processed within a few minutes.
If you are applying for a visa, FFDN would be happy to provide you with an invitation letter to attach to your application.
If you have to transit through the U.S., you may need to hold a valid U.S visa. Visit the U.S. Department of State website to learn about the applicable procedures.
